I downloaded this software yesterday for my mac, and the plan was, actually still is, to create some tutorials for my clients for all things web, including using their cms systems, setting up email clients etc.
There are a number of preset functions on ishowu, and one of those is a high quality youtube recording, which suits me, as my videos will end up on my own web page, so I need a lightweight file.. unfortunately, I got ugly black lines whenever the cursor moved around a lot.. quite disappointing, but I have emailed their support address so I’ll let you know if they have a solution.
Since this error, I tried recording on the imovie preset function, and it came out great quality, no black lines!
The best workflow seems to be:
When your recording is finished, it’s automatically saved inside your ishowu HD folder.
From there, you can add start and finish animations, split frames, add music.. lots of stuff!
Then click on ‘share’ in the imovie toolbar, and you will have a choice to export via Quicktime, which is the format I have used below.. the default settings seem to be best, but you may have to change the size (width and height) in the imovie settings before you export..
