The Agfa Isolette II with a Solinar lens (medium format film camera) dates back to 1952 and I have one in perfect condition!
It has a bellows, which from what I’ve read, generally suffer from light leaks over time, but this little sturdy thing even had a negative inside it from the 1950’s, that when developed, revealed steam train images.
Now as you can see, the negative had started to disintegrate, but for a negative lying inside a camera for over 50 years, it’s amazing that ANYTHING came out at all..
So right now I have seen the first roll of negative from the images I shot using this same camera, and there’s something on there ;) How well exposed etc is another question, but hey, at least the roll of film worked on a basic level. Once I get the prints tomorrow, I’ll scan them, and upload them so you can take a look.. fingers crossed!!!
